1954 Nash Healey LeMans Coupe page 1
This section will follow the
rebuild of my latest purchase, a 1954 Nash Healey LeMans Coupe. I found
this car on the "Bring A Trailer" web site and decided it would make
for an interesting project. The Car is body number 13576, one of the
first 10 of the 90 cars built in 1954. Thanks to Judy Brookes of the
Nash Healey registry for identifying the car, the registry has 136 cars
registered of the total production of approximately 500 cars.
I purchased the car from Van Tele Auto
in Taylor Michigan, Alex the owner and Will have been very helpful in
fully describing the condition of the car and taking great care to pack
all of the parts that had been dismantled from it inside the car for
shipping. It's always good to deal with real car people who love their
cars!
As Purchased the car is missing it's front grill, engine, gearbox and
the left curved section of the rear windscreen, otherwise the car is
relatively complete the obviously missing items in the images like
bumpers etc are supplied loose with the car.
Help in chasing up
the missing parts would be appreciated. I intend making this car a daily driver, so
may not re install the original drive train. We see how it pans out.
Front view the missing grill could be hard to find!
Right side, I love the lines of the 54 model, which has the larger curved rear screen

The car being
loaded in Michigan, dwarfed by the transporter. I was very impressed
that the transport was secure and the car was well protected for the
trip. Freight is in the hands of Ameroz
and the car is now safely in L.A. getting ready for the container. I
needed to ship a new windscreen with the car, which was part of the
purchase, no problem to this company, so I had one sent to their depot
to be added to the car.
